Man City Vs Wolverhampton Wanderers FC Lineups is the finest way to predict the match result of Man City and Wolverhampton Wanderers FC.

City made three changes from their starting 3-2 win against Fulham: John Stones, Rico Lewis and Jeremy Doku were brought in as replacements for Manuel Akanji, Phil Foden and Jack Grealish.

Josko Gvardiol will fill in at left back, enabling Mateo Kovacic to partner Ilkay Gundogan at the base of midfield.

Ederson

Ederson has been an integral component of Manchester City this season. The Brazilian goalkeeper has kept 10 clean sheets overall – five in the league alone!

As much as the keeper had an underwhelming performance against Newcastle, he will look to improve it against Wolves. Furthermore, the goalkeeper may try and add to his list of assists.

Rico Lewis is quickly replacing Kyle Walker as Pep Guardiola’s go-to right-back option, while Manuel Akanji remains an outstanding centre-back option for City.

Kyle Walker

City are expected to select their right-back from their last match against Leicester City as a partner for John Stones in a back four alongside Nelson Semedo and Craig Dawson.

Hwang Hee-chan will miss this match after suffering an ankle injury while on international duty for Korea Republic, along with fellow frontline players Enso Gonzalez, Sasa Kalajdzic and Yerson Mosquera who will join him on the sidelines for Gary O’Neil’s side.

Santiago Bueno will step in as Joe Sa’s replacement on defence for this match, along with Matheus Cunha and Jorgen Strand Larsen as part of a back three. Meanwhile Darren Doyle and Carlos Forbs will sit behind this pair from Brazil.

Ruben Dias

Former Benfica player Isco is a key member of City’s strong defensive unit. His reading of the game is superb, enabling him to anticipate opponents’ movements before they happen and preempt any movements before they even happen.

Dias’ football intelligence and anticipation gives him a distinct edge, often leading to timely interceptions, effective challenges, or cutting passing lanes. Furthermore, he’s proven his worth as a capable defender in possession completing second most passes this season.

Dias is a safe bet to start alongside Craig Dawson in central defense given John Stones’ struggles and Nathan Ake’s injury-related absence from City’s 5-1 win against Fulham on Saturday. Dias recorded four tackles and three interceptions in that victory, making him an asset.

Josko Gvardiol

Gvardiol, who joined Manchester City this summer after having previously represented Belgium at youth level, is still getting used to their defense but already showing the qualities that made Pep Guardiola invest so heavily. His dribbling is getting sharper while his passes become more accurate; additionally he’s making better decisions overall.

The Croatian was responsible for City’s equalizing goal against Bournemouth and has scored in two of his three EPL matches since joining. Furthermore, he has made three clearances, two blocks, and two interceptions since joining.

With Rodri and Oscar Bobb out, Rico Lewis may replace Kyle Walker at right-back while Ilkay Gundogan should team up with Mateo Kovacic in central midfield, Jack Grealish sharing minutes with Jeremy Doku down the left side. Kevin De Bruyne and Nathan Ake are still out but should return for next weekend’s Manchester derby at Etihad Stadium.

Mateo Kovacic

Kovacic is an agile player capable of covering various positions on the pitch. Although not known for dribbling excessively, he does know how to move past opposing defenses efficiently while being an efficient passer.

Under both Sarri and Lampard, he was a regular starter in City’s midfield three. However, with Ilkay Gundogan back and Rodri now part of the side, his minutes may diminish considerably.

He could find himself playing alongside Savinho at centre midfield and finding space to make those low drilled passes that Manchester City excel at in their attacking build up. Additionally, if Nathan Ake cannot travel he would cover that defensive position; providing some much-needed dynamism and creativity as well as goal threat (Craig Dawson had restrained him last time these sides met).

Ilkay Gundogan

Gundogan’s selection as City’s starting midfielder here not only adds depth and cover for Kevin De Bruyne’s absence due to injury, but it also increases their options on a deeper role.

As an outstanding passer, he can quickly switch the play from side to side at a glance and has excellent possession skills both offensively and defensively. Furthermore, his float up towards the back post creates an extra option for crossing that will prove crucial during this game.

Gundogan sets up an excellent chance for Gvardiol but his attempt is blocked by a defensive player. Additionally, Larsen was fouled but appeared unhurt!

Bernardo Silva

Excellent player and integral member of City’s success this season, he has been one of their main driving forces behind success on the pitch and serves as an inspirational leader.

Gvardiol provides Silva with a pass on the edge of the box and he fires in a low shot; Sa is quick to react by diving quickly down and blocking it.

Jeremy Doku comes close with a low effort, but Nelson Semedo’s corner does not result in anything tangible.

Hwang Hee-chan suffered an ankle injury while representing Korea Republic, so will not feature for Wolves this weekend. Craig Dawson will partner Toti in defence, with Matheus Cunha and Jorgen Strand Larsen likely starting alongside Matheus Cunha and Jorgen Strand Larsen likely also playing. Wolves fans will hope that they can pull off another unexpected win! Yerson Mosquera and Oscar Bobb are still doubtful but hopefully Wolves fans can count on an unexpected result to come through for them this time!

Savinho

Pep Guardiola will expect the Brazilian winger to demonstrate his creative talents by using one-on-one situations with fellow Brazilian Jeremy Doku to showcase them effectively in front of goal at Molineux. Since making his City debut off the bench during last weekend’s Community Shield matchup off the bench, he has not featured since then but will start here at Molineux. He must prove himself as a key addition and use these to their fullest at Molineux.

Sa gives away cheaply in midfield and challenges Enzo Fernandes carelessly near the edge of the box, before making an impressive first half by saving Gvardiol’s fierce drive and then blocking another effort from their top left-back as they look to reduce the deficit to goallessness by half-time. He even saves from Strand Larsen’s long range effort! His performance was outstanding.

Jack Grealish

Grealish of Aston Villa has been touted to start on the left of City’s midfield against Wolves, as Pep Guardiola will be without Rodri (ACL) and Oscar Bobb – leaving Grealish as an option alongside Kevin de Bruyne and Mateo Kovacic in central roles.

Grealish made his England debut and immediately made an impression, impressing with his low-socked dribbling against a compact Wolves defence. Not only does Grealish boast incredible technical skill, he also uses his intelligence to play combination passes within the box.

Rico Lewis will likely replace Kyle Walker on the right, while Ilkay Gundogan and Jeremy Doku could share left-back duties. Former Aston Villa star Rico Lewis boasts tremendous defensive intelligence; he knows when and how to tuck inside to prevent defenders from moving the ball forward; additionally he displays great awareness when dropping deep for possession to ensure his area doesn’t wander too far off-course.

Erling Haaland

City often use low crosses from wide areas for teammate to poke into goal and Haaland should have plenty of opportunities to score with his poaching ability. He boasts an outstanding record at Etihad Stadium having scored an average of one goal every 56 minutes!

Wolves have suffered another blow with Hwang Hee-chan picking up an ankle injury while playing for South Korea in international competition. His absence joins those of Enso Gonzalez, Sasa Kalajdzic, Yerson Mosquera and Boubacar Traore already sidelined.

Rico Lewis may be preferred over Kyle Walker at right-back for Chelsea, with John Stones, Ruben Dias and Gvardiol also on hand for their squad. Jack Grealish should join Jeremy Doku to form their left flank for visitors.
